Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience performing basic office clerical tasks.
  • Experience performing telephone reception duties.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Ability to field and prioritize different tasks, phone calls, and projects.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service.
  • Ability to work varied hours primarily between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm in a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Ability to accept direction from multiple sources and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrate initiative and self-direction.
  • Ability to interpret and relate policies and procedures.
  • Proficient at basic math functions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to store management personnel.
  • Perform back-up functions when coverage is required for other areas of the store.
  • Consistently provide friendly, courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Seek opportunities to welcome, engage, serve and thank customers.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of friendly, enthusiastic customer service with an emphasis of taking care of the customer.
  • Answer and direct in-coming phone calls.
  • Process in-coming and out-going mail by ensuring it is in the right slots, delivering to the correct location or mail drop.
  • Send and receive information by computer terminal.
  • Perform clerical duties such as typing, creating reports, distributing and sending paperwork, filing, following up on weekly reports, collating, stapling, faxing, processing checks, proofing documents, preparing forms, maintaining office supply inventory, and responding to needs.
  • Input information by computer terminal.
  • Assist visitors coming in-person to see specific personnel.
  • Review accuracy of information, ensuring employees' punch time records are accurate.
  • Input attendance and follow up with manager.
  • Answer employee related questions regarding insurance, employee contracts, and general company policy.
  • Manage online application process for store positions.
  • Process new employee hires and complete onboarding, orientation, and training.
  • Process workers compensation claims and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Handle customer accidents claims and reports.
  • Provide assistance to employees regarding Federal and State Leaves.
  • Manage demos including meetings, billing, and ordering product.
  • Handle returned checks and related activities.
  • Monitor ongoing employee training requirements.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
