About The Position

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise.
• Housekeeping inside and outside of the store, store safety and store security, and deli food sales and cooking.
• Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
• Remember regular customers' names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
• Stock shelves and coolers, complete accurate and effective completion of shift work, clean and maintain all areas of the store.
• Complete vendor check-in procedures, complete the protocol system and 'drive off' controls, and advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
• Sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management.
• Keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
• Perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
