About The Position

Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, The Bar Method, and Basecamp Fitness, is seeking a Store Opening Project Manager to join its team. As Store Opening Project Manager you will be assigned medium to large scale initiatives that directly tie to our organization’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for managing multiple cross-functional teams, multiple brands, and department workstreams throughout the store opening lifecycle from discovery through delivery. This role reports directly to the Sr Store Opening Project Manager. Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions) Leads and supports cross-functional project teams through the store opening discovery process; defining workstreams, owners, scope, the people and capabilities required, and estimated timing Leads and supports internal teams/franchise owners in developing internal project Statement/Scope of Work Schedules and facilitates project kick-offs and subsequent delivery meetings (status, working sessions, Steering meetings, retrospectives, etc.) Creates and manages the day-to-day updates and changes to the project plan, tasks, timeline and milestones throughout the project lifecycle Anticipates and tracks issues, risks and dependencies throughout project lifecycle, looks for opportunities to improve processes, assess processes regularly & leads process improvement changes Measures timelines of projects by type, collects data to report out to functional teams on regular basis Responsible for ensuring teams are meeting conditions of satisfaction and outcomes Assists teams with transition to business-as-usual definition and implementation adoption Apply waterfall or agile methodologies as determined and agreed upon by the working team Collaborate and build relationships with brand, shared service leaders & outside vendors Partners with project Business Owner to communicate and deliver project status and progress

Requirements

  • 3+ years project management experience managing medium to large-scale projects or programs
  • Strong Strategic and tactical communication planning and execution skills
  • Comfortable dealing with uncertainty; demonstrated ability to create structure and prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to learn quickly and easily adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent collaboration, leadership, and communication
  • Must be comfortable and effective in influencing stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence without authority, servant leadership mentality
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, results oriented culture, across multiple franchise brands
  • Ability to build authentic working relationships amongst the team and with colleagues across functions
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work and thrive in ambiguity

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a franchise environment preferred
  • Experience in the fitness / beauty industry preferred
  • PMP and / or Scrum Certification preferred
