The Manager, Store Merchandise oversees all back of the house operational tasks and front of the house visual standards. In this role the Manager will ensure the processing of inbound merchandise, placement and presentation of merchandise on the selling floor, and the processing of merchandise off the selling floor and out of the store, following established Saks Fifth Avenue productivity and process standards. You will also oversees the creation and maintenance of a shopping environment, which incorporates fashion trend statements, visual presentations, and promotional events to support the sale of full-priced merchandise and the profitability of the store. You will be a part of the store's core management team and will be a leader on the floor, prioritizing the customer service experience. The Asset Protection Manager will work with customers and associates, resolve customer issues and ensure all associates are providing and exceeding our customer service expectations.

Requirements

  • Available to work a flexible schedule that will include nights and weekends
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in retailing environment in visual or merchandising capacity.
  • Proficiency in utilizing available technology, especially Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes (approx. weight 25 - 50 lbs), move and maneuver rolling equipment (pallets, flatbed carts, rolling racks), climb safety ladders (approx. 6 feet)
  • Innate ability to gain ground without damaging relationships. Can be both assertive but diplomatic.
  • Drives positive outcomes through objectives & measures, while monitoring progress & results effectively.
  • Adept at course-correcting within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Brand Sales
  • Achieve seasonal vendor sales plan by sharing product knowledge to all Advisor of the Beauty department and developing key relationships throughout the store
  • Attend monthly Business Manager calls to develop strategies to achieve and / or exceed vendor sales plan
  • Create customer centric mindset at counter to support cross-sell into their brand by all Beauty Advisors
  • Actively participate on social media; Instagram, etc. to grow your personal brand and business
  • Achieve appointment goal and sales plan of all corporately negotiated events
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
  • Counter Leadership
  • Serve as a brand expert and department representative.
  • Lead team of the brand’s Beauty Advisors’ targeted outreach efforts to achieve appointment goals for all events
  • Ensure brand specific selling ceremonies and daily, at counter drivers are consistently offered and demonstrated to all clients
  • Work with vendor to plan and execute “at counter” events to drive customer loyalty and customer acquisition

  • Client Development
  • Utilizing SFA clienteling system, build individual sales volume, establish and maintain customer relationships to drive repeat business and client loyalty

  • Maintain a consistent high level of service by creating and developing excellent client relationships as the brand expert and department representative
  • Leverage all selling tools to stay connected with clients and continue to service their beauty needs
  • Be knowledgeable on all in-store services and proactively offers the appropriate service to a client to further personalize and enhance their shopping experience

  • Serve as a brand expert and department representative.
  • Continually upgrade product knowledge to drive sales and client satisfaction.
  • Ask appropriate questions to identify a client’s needs in order to effectively provide them guidance or directions
