This position involves manually moving freight, stock, or other materials and performing general labor. The Store Merchandiser services and orders products for customers, ensuring proper stocking of designated shelves and displays, organizing back stock, and preparing damaged or out-of-date products for pickup. The role may also involve assisting Presales and Delivery Associates with reviewing promotions and new sales orders with customer managers before finalizing the order. Communication with the sales and delivery team regarding issues, problems, or opportunities is essential, as is staying aware of new product offerings, sales events/promotions, and display opportunities. The merchandiser must adhere to a daily schedule, ensure each account is serviced daily, and adapt to changes in work assignments and organizational restructuring. Regular inspection and maintenance of customer shelves, end caps, and other allocated space for cleanliness and neatness are required. The role also includes auditing and pulling out-of-date or damaged products and rotating stock to maintain freshness. Assistance to the sales and delivery team in forecasting sales based on previous reports and upcoming promotions is also part of the job to ensure accuracy and minimize pallet pickups.
