The Store Merchandise Manager leads and manages center store department operations and associates to execute company best practices to maximize sales and profitability. This includes overseeing processes for inventory control, receiving product, planogram integrity, and pricing to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and municipal/state/federal laws. The role requires creating a shopping and working environment that exemplifies the company’s commitment to service, quality, and neighborhood partnerships, while increasing customer confidence and loyalty. This is a working management position that requires a balance of physical labor, delegation, team building, leadership, planning, and administrative work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 3 - 6 years of supervisory experience required.
• Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the department.
• Strong customer service skills and exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain it within 180 days of placement.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Leads and empowers teams to deliver a great shopping experience for customers in alignment with the company’s vision, goals, expectations, and policies.
• Manages in-stock conditions, inventory, shrink, pricing, receiving, and expenses including labor and supply management.
• Delegates authority, responsibility, and accountability to managers and creates a coordinated, motivated management team.
• Supports the hiring and training execution in the store, ensuring that recruiting, interviewing, and hiring the best-qualified applicants.
• Adheres to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety and executes all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner.
