The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing staff effectively. This role requires a strong leadership presence and the ability to develop positive relationships with employees and suppliers. The Store Manager will also be responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, and maintaining the store's image according to company standards.

  • Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees.
  • Develop, manage and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, organized and well-kept.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.
  • Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service.
  • Implement non-discriminatory management skills while hiring, training, counseling, motivating and separating employees.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with all suppliers.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Prepare ongoing performance appraisals in writing for all employees.
  • Train all employees on customer service, site image, marketing execution, and safety procedures.
  • Establish periodic communication meetings with all site employees and the Market Manager.
  • Evaluate and develop specific action plans to address the needs of the site.
  • Manage and supervise store employees to ensure all required reports are completed accurately and timely.
  • Analyze daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage merchandise margins.
  • Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials.
  • Ability to use a computer for analysis of reports, inventory control, and cash control.
  • A valid driver's license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
