About the position

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a passionate, people-first Store Manager to oversee store operations. This role is critical in creating a positive shopping experience for customers while driving business results and operational goals. The Store Manager is responsible for coaching and developing their team, ensuring a diverse and effective workforce, and fostering community relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations and ensure a hassle-free shopping experience for customers.
• Drive sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and data analysis.
• Control expenses and manage workforce budgeting.
• Execute floor sets and maintain visual standards in the store.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and safe.
• Build an effective store team through the interview/hiring process.
• Prioritize community involvement and build relationships with local leaders.
• Manage shrink results through compliance with safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Lead the team with a people-first focus, building trust and actively listening to team members.
• Infuse learning and development into day-to-day leadership.

Requirements

• 3 years of Retail Store Manager experience or 5 years of related management/customer-focused experience.
• Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong people management skills and ability to develop talent.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
