About The Position

The Store Manager at Pet Supermarket is responsible for leading a team to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales in a high-energy retail environment focused on pet care. This role involves coaching and developing staff, ensuring operational standards are met, and maintaining the well-being of all pets in the store. The Store Manager plays a crucial role in achieving sales goals and fostering a positive community presence while managing day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years in a retail manager role or at least 1 year as a Store Manager.
• Enjoy working with and around animals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must work a minimum of 45 hours per week.
• Possess a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, service, and customer experience initiatives to achieve sales and performance goals.
• Teach and train team members to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Monitor customer service and selling models to ensure professional interactions with customers.
• Build relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Maintain cleanliness and well-being of all livestock and ensure a safe store environment.
• Motivate, coach, and develop team members, including performance management.
• Manage controllable expenses and ensure loss prevention and safety standards are upheld.
• Oversee inventory management and ensure compliance with operational directives.
• Create a talent pipeline and manage hiring processes to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
