As Store Manager at Kohl's, you will lead the store team to enhance customer experience and associate engagement. Your primary responsibilities include driving sales and profitability, managing store operations, and developing associates to ensure excellent service and operational execution.

  • Guide profitable sales and meet store financial plans through strategic decisions and leadership.
  • Achieve payroll plan by managing store schedules and monitoring labor costs.
  • Recruit and make hiring, pay, and termination decisions for all levels of store personnel.
  • Manage associate relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the training process for new hires on Kohl's culture and responsibilities.
  • Coach the store team to increase knowledge and create succession plans for associates.
  • Ensure sound inventory management and complete required business directives.
  • Prevent loss by educating associates and monitoring store activity.
  • Ensure store merchandising standards follow visual merchandising direction.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of product on the sales floor through effective replenishment.
  • Create a compelling store experience by modeling customer service behaviors.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience supervising 20 or more associates, including performance management responsibilities.
  • Great verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong people management skills and ability to develop talent.
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a managerial position.
  • Experience supervising 50 or more associates.
  • College degree OR equivalent combination of education and 3-4 years experience in retail or similar industry.
