About The Position

Position Summary: The Store Manager oversees a retail location’s staff and activities to achieve a profitable store location.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A minimum of two years of store supervisory and/or management experience
  • Heavy Duty Industry experience required
  • Possesses understanding of inventory controls, stocking levels, and seasonal inventory shifts
  • Exceptional customer service and communications skills (both written and oral)
  • Possesses personal drive, self-motivation, and initiative to accomplish company goals
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); Associate degree in Business Administration preferred

Nice To Haves

  • ASE (T1-T8) (P2) Parts Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining exemplary customer service within the store and establishing special business relationships with our customers so they will choose to do business with us rather than our competitors
  • Implementing strategies to help meet store goals and objectives
  • Recruiting, developing, and motivating store employees who exceed internal and external customer expectations
  • Work with approved supplier’s representatives to grow employee’s knowledge of lines
  • Maintain a safe workplace environment, Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Marketing within your community to increase market share and store revenues
  • Resolving customer complaints for increased customer satisfaction
  • Controlling labor hours, cash, store audits, core returns, cycle counts and shrinkage
  • Inventory protection, asset management, operational and safety issues
  • Help maintain a neat and clean store environment for our customers and employees
  • Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, as well as high-traffic times
  • Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, employee engagement and evaluations
  • Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies
  • Develops, oversees, and maximizes retail budget and sales
  • Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks
  • Collaborates with regional managers to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective strategies
  • Other duties as assigned
