About The Position

ROLE SUMMARY: The Store Manager is responsible for leading the Rodeo Shop to drive revenue growth while delivering exceptional and memorable customer experiences. This role provides strategic leadership for buying, merchandising and visual displays, budgeting and forecasting, and staffing, ensuring the customer experience reflects The Rodeo Shop’s elevated service standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of retail, sales, or hospitality experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role.
  • Minimum five (5) years of buying, merchandising, and visual display experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role.
  • Strong sales and merchandising skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze business data, forecast trends, and evaluate market opportunities.
  • Proficiency in POS & Inventory Systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and independent decision-making.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular schedules based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in Western lifestyle or Rodeo environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory management, visual displaying and merchandising.
  • Proven success in building high-performing teams and long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of store operations to achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and customer service goals.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine retail sales strategies, action plans, and forecasts aligned with the Coliseum’s schedule of events and projected business levels in the Stockyards.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire The Rodeo Shop team to embody EHM’s values and customer-focused culture.
  • Lead your team in all aspects of duties ensuring that the store and stockroom stay neat, clean, organized and stocked at all times.
  • Buy all merchandise inventory while building strong vendor relationships.
  • Design or work with others to create new, western or branded merchandise.
  • Maintain appropriate merchandise inventory, lead annual inventory counts and implement strategies for keeping inventory correct at all times.
  • Employ revenue management techniques to maximize retail value and recommend appropriate pricing and merchandising strategies.
  • Monitor customer feedback and internal quality metrics; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Attend Dallas Markets/Trade-shows and maintain awareness of local market conditions, competitors, and industry trends to drive future growth opportunities.
  • Represent The Rodeo Shop at networking events, industry functions, and community engagements to promote the brand.
  • Champion compliance with all brand standards, SOPs, LSOPs, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster strong internal communication through regular meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain the Rodeo Shop Social media platforms and post regularly to promote the store.
  • All other duties as assigned.
