The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation and management of a retail site. This includes recruiting, hiring, and training employees to ensure excellent customer service, as well as developing, managing, and assigning tasks to maintain a clean, adequately stocked, and organized store according to Company standards. The role involves maintaining professional relationships with suppliers, resolving customer complaints, and promoting a positive public image. Key responsibilities also include conducting performance appraisals, training employees on company standards and safety procedures, and ensuring effective communication within the team. Financially, the manager is tasked with analyzing sales and expense information, budgeting, forecasting P&L lines, managing merchandise margins, safeguarding money, and performing other financial analyses to maximize sales and net profits. The manager is expected to work with minimal supervision and act as an effective leader.
