About The Position

At Five Below, Store Managers are the driving force behind an awesome store experience, balancing operations, team development, and customer interactions. They are expected to lead from the floor, energize their team, and deliver results. The role involves leading with purpose and building a high-performing team, ensuring a positive, fun, and high-performing culture. Store Managers are responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, managing labor, driving sales, and adapting quickly to changes, all while demonstrating integrity and accountability. Success is measured by sales and labor results, customer satisfaction, store scorecard performance, team development and retention, and operational execution and compliance. This role requires a leader who thrives on movement, energy, and action, with coaching moments happening in real time and decisions driving the day.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of leadership experience where you’ve led teams and delivered results.
  • Experience managing a store or large department.
  • Comfort leading in fast-paced, high-volume, or high-complexity store environments.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Creative thinking.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Promotion from assistant or co-manager roles is a big plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred.
