About The Position

This is a hands-on position, involving direct interaction with customers on the sales floor. The manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a retail showroom, including mentoring and developing direct reports, and continuously inspiring the team to achieve high performance. Accountability for the showroom's sales performance and a proven track record of exceeding sales goals are essential. The role demands excellent communication skills to build effective partnerships across all organizational levels through trust, respect, consistency, and initiative. The ideal candidate must be flexible, able to learn, adapt, grow, lead change, and build influence. Ethical behavior, reliability, credibility, and a team-oriented approach are crucial, fostering an environment where individual success is linked to team success. The manager is expected to be motivating, customer service driven, and a role model for associates.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in a store management leadership role with high volume experience in "Big Box" retail environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to learn new programs.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve great success.
  • Mentoring, coaching and development skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office programs including -- Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day operations for the retail showroom.
  • Mentor and ensure the successful development of multiple direct reports.
  • Continuously inspire everyone around you to perform at a high level.
  • Be responsible for the sales performance of the showroom.
  • Communicate with all levels throughout the organization.
  • Build effective partnerships through trust, respect, consistency and initiative.
  • Lead change and build influence.
  • Consistently apply fair and ethical behavior that mirrors the company's guiding principles.
  • Be punctual and quick to respond to the needs of customers and associates.

  • Work well with customers to create positive solutions when challenges or opportunities arise.
  • Set the example that others follow.
  • Coordinate placement of merchandise on the showroom floor.
  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of Regional Director.
