Job Summary: The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring that all team members deliver outstanding customer service while achieving business objectives. This role requires a proactive leader who can motivate staff, manage inventory, and drive sales in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in convenience or grocery stores.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Able to operate store equipment safely, including registers and safety devices.

Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees to foster a high-performance team that excels in customer service.
  • Ensure that customer inquiries and issues are addressed promptly, creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.
  • Analyze sales performance, implement promotional strategies, and work towards meeting or exceeding store targets.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct regular stock takes, and manage ordering processes to minimize stock-outs.
  • Monitor financial performance, control costs, and prepare reports on sales activities and operational metrics.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.
