Golf Galaxy is seeking a specialty Retail Store Manager to oversee store operations. This role is critical in driving sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and detailed report analysis. Key aspects include driving and sustaining sales intensity, operations integrity, and profitability within the store by setting clear expectations, holding staff accountable, and monitoring progress to achieve positive results. The position also involves effective scheduling, developing and monitoring payroll plans, and upholding Golf Galaxy standards for merchandise presentation. Furthermore, the Store Manager is responsible for recruitment, interviewing, and hiring, as well as selecting, onboarding, empowering, and developing a highly effective team. This includes leading consistent evaluation and development of in-store talent, defining a clear vision and strategy, and demonstrating a flexible leadership style to foster team member engagement and morale. The manager will hold team members accountable, provide coaching and feedback, and issue disciplinary action when necessary. Finally, the role involves driving shrink results through compliance with safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures, ensuring training requirements are met, and incorporating the customer's perspective in defining success.
