About The Position

Managers In Training will learn how to successfully manage the day to day responsibilities of running an EG America convenience store location from our finest leaders. You can expect to spend time with a Training Manager and Supervising Manager during your training, working various shifts to learn about our company, our retail team, our vendors and our guests. This role supports the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School or GED
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year retail or food experience
  • Soft Skills: Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members, High energy, Ability to move from one activity to another quickly, Team oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others, Computer skills are helpful.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Education: 1 year in retail, guest service or restaurant, in a leadership role
  • Preferred Licenses/Certifications and Skills: ServSafe /Food Safety certification a plus but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Greet Guests with a warm welcome and a smile! After all, we are known for delivering exceptional Customer Service!
  • Assist Store Manager with building and developing a strong store team: training, scheduling, and coaching team members.
  • Monitor product levels on the sales floor, rotating stock and keeping product levels full.
  • Oversee quality control, merchandising, & food safety programs in locations that offer hot food.
  • Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of both interior and exterior of the store.
  • Operate the cash register in an efficient manner.
  • Assist the Store Manager by overseeing quality control, merchandising, safety programs and other guidelines in place for successful food service operation.
