As a Store Manager (SM) at Paper Source, you will be responsible for delivering a beautifully merchandised and profitable store that serves the community. Your primary focus will be on the sales floor, where you will ensure that the store meets and exceeds our standards for presentation and customer service. You will assess the store from the customer's perspective, communicating your insights and ideas to your regional manager and other supporting partners to enhance the store's performance. This includes identifying obstacles and opportunities for improvement in the business. In your leadership role, you will recognize the strengths of your team and provide them with opportunities for career growth. Utilizing company tools, you will develop ready talent and ensure ownership and accountability for the business through respectful communication. You will actively seek and respond to feedback from support partners to improve sales and gain efficiencies, all with the goal of ensuring that customers return to the store time and again. Your responsibilities will include ensuring consistent, friendly, and informed service to customers, setting an example for your team, and providing training to deliver a first-class creative customer experience. You will also be tasked with achieving sales goals, profitability, and operational excellence, maximizing efficiency while minimizing loss through timely execution of all processes. Maintaining a vibrant and creative store environment through effective visual merchandising and replenishment standards will be key to your success. Additionally, you will build your team through engagement, motivation, and coaching, proactively assessing performance and ensuring compliance with company standards related to safety and customer experience. You will be involved in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring employees who are knowledgeable and can provide an optimal shopping experience. Your role will also require you to manage payroll and scheduling effectively, understand issues of shrink and expenses, and hold your team accountable for their performance.
