The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing staff effectively. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, along with experience in retail sales. The Store Manager will recruit, hire, and train employees, manage site cleanliness and organization, and maintain a professional image. The position also involves financial analysis, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety procedures.

  • Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees.
  • Develop, manage and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-kept.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.
  • Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service.
  • Implement non-discriminatory management skills while hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Prepare on-going and timely performance appraisals for all employees.
  • Train all employees on customer service, site image, marketing execution, and safety procedures.
  • Establish periodic communication meetings with all site employees and the Market Manager.
  • Evaluate and develop specific action plans to address site needs.
  • Manage and supervise store employees to ensure accurate and timely completion of reports.
  • Ensure all merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly.
  • Analyze daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage merchandise margins.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to use a computer for analysis of reports, inventory control, and cash control.
  • A valid driver's license and adequate transportation.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
