About The Position

This position at Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. involves recruiting and hiring store associates to serve customers effectively. The role requires fostering the growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising, while also providing coaching and corrections when necessary. The manager will oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and enforcing company policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include performing opening and closing procedures, implementing operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters, helping the store reach its maximum profit contribution, protecting company assets, and maintaining a high level of customer service across the store. The manager is expected to ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience preferred
  • Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus preferred
  • Strong productivity management in freight processing required
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
  • Must be able to lift between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation required
