About The Position

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee to lead associates, assist customers, and drive store sales. This role involves managing and overseeing all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability, ensuring smooth daily operations by delegating store activities, and leading, training, and developing store associates to foster a culture of growth. The manager is also responsible for providing a positive shopping experience for every customer, safeguarding company assets, building strong community relationships through outreach and partnerships, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, enforcing company policies and procedures, and implementing operational and merchandising directions from corporate headquarters. As a manager, you may be required by local jurisdiction to provide detailed background information to obtain licenses for selling alcoholic beverages/tobacco products, with failure to comply potentially leading to demotion or separation of employment. Requirements

  • Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (occasionally 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height
  • Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Ability to comply and/or qualify for specialized licenses for selling alcohol and/or tobacco if required by local jurisdiction

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail management experience
