The Store Leader Trainee role is designed for individuals to become Store Leaders, who are central to the store's operations. Store Leaders, along with their Assistant(s), form the leadership team responsible for executing merchandising and marketing initiatives, driving profitability, developing the store team, and ensuring excellent customer service. Many successful managers at 7-Eleven began their careers in entry-level positions and advanced through hard work and training. The company is hiring immediately for this role and is looking for individuals with previous supervisory experience who enjoy working as part of a management team. Trainees are hired into the market and may be placed in a store different from where their training was received.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge
  • A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment
  • Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • At least one year of retail management experience (if a High School diploma or GED is not held)

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees
  • Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity
  • Oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs
  • Use P&L and store reports to affect change
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the rewards loyalty program
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures to ensure the store is presentable and that all products are in-stock
