About The Position
The Store Manager at Goodwill Industries of North Florida is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store located in Lake City, FL. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, employee management, and operational efficiency. The Store Manager will supervise the processing of donated materials, ensuring that all operations align with company standards and policies. The position demands excellent communication skills, as the manager will handle customer, donor, and employee relations, promoting a safe and productive work environment. The Store Manager will also be responsible for achieving store revenue goals, managing inventory, and controlling labor costs to contribute to the store's profitability. In addition to operational duties, the Store Manager will maintain accountability for cash handling and ensure accurate reporting of store revenue. This includes preparing daily and weekly reports, managing staffing requirements, and conducting performance appraisals for team members. The role requires a proactive approach to training and developing the management team, fostering a collaborative environment where all team members are encouraged to participate in achieving store goals. The Store Manager will also ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of customer service as outlined in the customer service manual. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The Store Manager will also be involved in front-of-store duties, such as processing customer transactions and assisting with shopping needs, as well as back-of-store responsibilities, including managing donations and ensuring that merchandise is appropriately processed and displayed.
