About The Position

The Store Manager at Circle K is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing staff effectively. This role requires a strong leader who can recruit, train, and develop employees while maintaining a professional and supportive work environment. The Store Manager will also be responsible for financial analysis, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized store that meets company standards. The position requires flexibility in shift availability and the ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
  • A valid driver’s license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire and train positive, enthusiastic employees.
  • Develop, manage and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well-kept.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.
  • Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service.
  • Implement non-discriminatory management skills while hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with all suppliers.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Prepare ongoing performance appraisals in writing for all employees.
  • Train all employees on customer service, site image, marketing execution, and safety procedures.
  • Establish periodic communication meetings with all site employees and the Market Manager.
  • Evaluate and develop specific action plans to address the needs of the site.
  • Manage and supervise store employees to ensure accurate and timely completion of reports.
  • Analyze daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage merchandise margins.
  • Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed.
