The store manager is responsible for the successful operation of the store. This includes achieving satisfactory sales and profits as set forth by a specific operating budget. The store manager also directly supervises sales workers in the grocery department. Other duties may include but are not limited to management functions, such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel work, in addition to supervisory duties.
