The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) job is a development focused role designed to prepare individuals for a CVS Store Manager position. The SMIT program aims to enhance the career of future store leaders through a self-paced, collaborative training program spanning 16 weeks. It includes both virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Support for growth is provided by a team including a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. SMITs are expected to actively engage in Key Learning Experiences, support their store as a management team member, lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies, and engage colleagues in support of the company's purpose. While selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion, candidates must be willing to accept promotion roles and transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market, and be able to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
