The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role designed to prepare individuals for a CVS Store Manager position. The SMIT program enhances careers as future store leaders through a self-paced, collaborative 16-week training, including virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Support for growth is provided by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach. Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position, as promotion depends on factors like performance and availability of openings.
