The Store Manager in Training is responsible for learning the overall operations of a retail store under the direction of a Store Manager/Head Coach or District Manager. This role involves gaining knowledge and competency in financial processes required to manage a retail store. Under guidance from supervisors, the individual is expected to gain full proficiency in managerial responsibilities within a 90-day timeframe. The candidate must be available and willing to take on Store Manager responsibilities within the local market (30 miles/30 minutes) if offered. The position requires facilitating an exceptional customer service experience through all channels of interaction by following GNC's prescribed selling methods, meeting or exceeding all corporate set goals, expectations, and key performance indicators. The Store Manager in Training will also drive GNC's loyalty programs and incentives for successful engagement of customers, monitor best sellers, identify product demand, and update the Store Manager regarding trends. Community engagement and client loyalty through innovative outreach are also key responsibilities. The role includes supervising and leading the store team under the guidance of the Store Manager, communicating sales targets, driving team performance, and providing feedback to support succession planning of high performers. The individual will also be responsible for ensuring company assets are protected and not exposed to risks and conflicts of interest, handling escalated customer service issues, and monitoring store's Loss Prevention activities. Additional responsibilities include managing work schedules, hiring, training, and disciplining employees, implementing planograms, managing store inventory, adhering to quality control programs, and ensuring compliance with all store operations policies. The Store Manager in Training will independently perform complex duties, including people management, store operations, inventory management, merchandising, loss prevention, and leading others in selling skills development. The physical aspects of the job require regular standing, walking, sitting, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. The work environment is usually low to moderate noise level, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.
