About The Position

This position is responsible for: planning, administering, and monitoring the day-to-day operations of a Salvation Army Thrift Store to ensure effective operations, proper handling of donated goods, excellent customer service, and achievement of store financial goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Three years progressively responsible experience working in a retail store environment with at least one year experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily store operations including merchandising, displays, pricing of donated merchandise, and inventory rotation.
  • Supervises, schedules, trains, and evaluates store staff, volunteers, and sorting room personnel.
  • Ensures accountability and security of store funds, prepares bank deposits, and maintains accurate sales and operational records.
  • Provides customer service, resolves operational or personnel issues, and maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
  • Coordinates donations, donation pickups, and proper handling of donated items.
