Store Manager - Fulton Location: Chicago, IL Job type: Full Time Schedule: Monday - Friday Base Annual Salary: $66,000 - $89,000 Compensation for this position includes base salary, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role. The candidate we are looking for will coordinate and supervise daily sales, operational and administrative activities in the branch, including receiving, shipping, warehousing, counter sales, inventory management and administrative functions in support of sales activity as directed. Work within operational budget constraints to effectively and efficiently manage the process of order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: High school diploma, 2 years college or vocational or associates degree preferred or equivalent experience. Business or electrical industry exposure helpful.
  • EXPERIENCE: Three years sales/city desk experience & five years experience in a operations, logistics, or distribution environment. Knowledge of Sunrise Electric's systems, processes, products, and market knowledge preferred.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize and delegate multiple tasks
  • Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills
  • Good PC skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Email & Internet Use
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Experience/knowledge of warehouse equipment and machines
  • Must be able to prioritize and delegate multiple tasks
  • Understand customer requests and identify appropriate materials and parts. Good listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team player
  • Ability to work across departments
  • Ability to interpret, understand & enforce policy and procedures and relate them to others
  • Strong managerial & leadership skills, ability to motivate team and manage conflict
  • Supervisory skills-ability to manage staffing, performance review decisions, mentor and supervise development of staff
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Manage branch operations including counter area, show floor, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
  • Work closely with sales managers, account managers, and account reps to provide consistent, responsive, and innovative service to the customers in the market. Meet with customers when appropriate with regard to specific orders or projects in order to help accommodate unusual or complex requirements.
  • Train, supervise, develop, and provide support to counter associates, assisting in all day-to-day functions as needed.
  • Maintain building/grounds and warehouse to present an attractive and secure facility; replenish and straighten display areas; order warehouse supplies and maintain overall building security while operating within annual budget guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage location’s inventory through cycle counts, on-hand balance adjustments, stock location maintenance, and physical inventory.
  • Work closely with marketing on merchandising, product promotions, counter days and other activities directed at local customers and provide feedback on new products. Keep branch associates informed about these and other updates in a timely manner.
  • Monitor daily warehouse and counter productivity and accuracy for efficiency, consistency and quality of operations.
  • Coordinate operational activities with other distribution centers to ensure the continued and timely flow of delivers, transfers and other services.
