About The Position

The Store Manager at Hibbett Sports, Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the store's sales efforts across all departments while ensuring the overall operation is efficient and profitable. The Store Manager serves as a key representative of Hibbett I City Gear, embodying the brand's values in appearance, attitude, and interactions with employees, customers, and the community. In this role, the Store Manager must possess a comprehensive understanding of each product area within the store, demonstrating a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and effectively promoting merchandise. The Store Manager is expected to maintain constant communication with the District Sales Manager and the Store Support Center, ensuring alignment with company objectives and strategies. The Store Manager's responsibilities extend to managing and controlling the store's assets, directing sales efforts, and staying informed about sales statistics, inventory, and expenses that contribute to profitability. This includes mentoring and developing a team of Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training, as well as overseeing personnel recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Additionally, the Store Manager is tasked with maintaining store security, implementing marketing and advertising plans, and staying attuned to customer trends and competitive dynamics.
