About The Position
The Store Management position at Spirit Halloween is a critical role that oversees the total operation of a seasonal store. This position is accountable for ensuring maximum sales and profitability by establishing and maintaining high standards of Guest Services while effectively controlling expenses. The Store Management is responsible for various operational aspects including shrink management, merchandising, inventory control, staffing, and the setup, pack-up, and teardown of the seasonal store. This role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the seasonal business, which may include extended hours during peak times. As a Store Manager, you will be expected to lead a team, ensuring that all employees are trained and motivated to provide excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for maintaining the store's visual standards and ensuring that all merchandise is displayed effectively to maximize sales. The role involves significant physical activity, including standing or walking for over 8 hours, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Prior retail management experience is essential to succeed in this role, as it requires a strong understanding of retail operations and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. It is important to note that the store you will be managing is a Spirit Halloween Consignment Store. While you will be working with Spirit Halloween merchandise, your employer will be the independent owner and operator of the store. This means that Spirit Halloween will not be your employer and will have no obligations regarding your employment, benefits, or wages. You will need to adhere to the employment and operational policies set forth by the consignment operator.
