The Store Leader is central to the store's operation, leading a team (often with one or two Assistants) to execute merchandising and marketing initiatives, drive profitability, develop the store team's skills, and ensure excellent customer service. Many successful managers began as cashiers or part-timers. 7-Eleven offers training programs to help employees grow into management roles. The company is hiring immediately for the Store Leader Trainee role and is committed to employee success through proper training and a "promote from within" philosophy. 7-Eleven's core mission is to provide the most convenient experience possible, acting as a one-stop shop for consumers. This ethos drives its expansion into operating Speedway®, Stripes®, Laredo Taco Company®, and Raise the Roost® Chicken and Biscuits, along with proprietary products and services like 7NOW®, 7Rewards®, Speedy Rewards®, and 7‑Eleven Fleet™ across the U.S.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel).
  • A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment.
  • The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • At least one year of retail management experience (if a High School diploma or GED is not present).

  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching, for all store employees.
  • Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity.
  • Oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs.
  • Use P&L and store reports to affect change.
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of our rewards loyalty program.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures to ensure the store is presentable and that all products are in-stock.
