About The Position

The Store Leader is considered the heart and soul of the store, leading a team (with one or two Assistants) to execute merchandising and marketing initiatives, drive profitability, develop the store team's skills, and ensure excellent customer service. Many successful managers at 7-Eleven started their careers in entry-level positions and advanced through hard work and training programs. The company is seeking individuals with previous supervisory experience who enjoy working as part of a management team for the Store Leader Trainee role.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge.
  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates that have at least one year of retail management experience.
  • A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment.
  • Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
  • Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity.
  • Oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs.
  • Use P&L and store reports to affect change.
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the rewards loyalty program.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures to ensure the store is presentable and that all products are in-stock.
