About The Position

Every Huck’s Market Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of their shift, within company policy, to ensure that the shift contributes to the profitability of the store. Our standards for customer service and store cleanliness are extremely high. All our Associates are expected to give our customers fast, friendly service at all times. Our golden rule: 'The customer is the most important person in all our stores.'

Requirements

• Commitment to customer service and store cleanliness.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle customer conflicts effectively.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail or customer service.
• Familiarity with cash register operations.
• Knowledge of merchandising and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers promptly and provides courteous service adhering to all Best In Class standards.
• Ensures that store appearance reflects company expectations and standards.
• Ensures that the store is open and ready for business during all hours.
• Handles all customer conflicts by using our method of MAKE IT RIGHT.
• Performs specific tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Follows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the store.
• Operates shift within company guidelines and policies.
• Ensures Store Manager is made aware of all sales, cash, or operating discrepancies.
• Completes a shift checklist according to company policy.
• Rings all sales on the sales register, with no exception.
• Accurately records all voids, refunds and price overrides.
• Advises Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
• Ensures all cash handling procedures are followed.
• Ensures a safe shopping and working environment.
• Keeps coolers, drink boxes, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted at all times.
• Cleans windows, floors, shelving, counters, gas pumps and parking lot to ensure they remain clean at all times.
• Actively promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers.
