About The Position

As a team member at Michaels, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including kids' birthday parties, to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. You will deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and ensuring they find what they’re looking for. Your role will also involve completing operational tasks such as truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises. You will engage with clients of all ages, create an environment of fun and creativity, and ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events while upholding the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
  • Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects.
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
  • Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
  • Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck unload, stocking and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms.
