About The Position
As a Store Employee at the DFW Airport Terminal C, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming environment for customers. This position is within a 7-Eleven convenience store operated by an independent contractor franchisee, which means that while you will be part of the 7-Eleven brand, your employment will be directly with the franchisee. Your responsibilities will include not only assisting customers but also ensuring that the store is clean, well-stocked, and organized. You will be expected to demonstrate reliability and honesty, greeting customers with a friendly demeanor and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. In this role, you will drive sales through effective communication with customers, helping them find what they need and providing information about products. You will also be responsible for performing cashier duties, which include ringing up sales and maintaining cash control. Regular cleaning activities will be part of your daily tasks, ensuring that the store remains a pleasant place for customers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to forecast, order, and stock merchandise, with appropriate training provided. Checking in merchandise deliveries from vendors will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the store is always stocked with the necessary products. It is important to note that this position requires passing a background check for the DFW Employee Badge, which is a standard procedure for employees working in the airport environment. The physical demands of the job include constant standing, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of items weighing between 1-5 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 40-50 lbs. This role is essential for the smooth operation of the store and for providing a positive experience for all customers.
