Store Driver
About The Position
The Store Driver position involves picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to professional customers, as well as handling returns and cores. Responsibilities also include distributing weekly/monthly sales flyers, promoting current sales and loyalty programs, and daily collection of credit accounts. The role requires building and maintaining relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights from deliveries, and assisting in upselling and cross-selling products. Drivers are also expected to maintain store cleanliness, perform general stocking (including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts), stay knowledgeable about product inventory, and engage with walk-in customers to recommend parts or services. Success in this role depends on safe driving, effective use of a delivery board system, friendly communication, ability to locate and stock parts, safety knowledge, operating inventory systems, sales aptitude, and customer service orientation.
Requirements
- Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license with anN acceptable driving record

- Spanish a plus
- Automotive parts experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
