About The Position

The Store Driver is responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to professional customers, as well as handling returns and cores. This role involves distributing weekly/monthly sales flyers, promoting current sales and loyalty programs, and daily collection of credit accounts. The driver will build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights to the company. Additionally, the position includes assisting with upselling and cross-selling products, maintaining store cleanliness, general stocking (including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts), and engaging with walk-in customers to recommend parts or services. The role requires safe driving, effective communication, and the ability to learn about product inventory and sales techniques.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

Spanish (a plus)
Automotive parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
Pick up returns and cores
Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
Daily collection of credit accounts
Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
Other duties as assigned
