About The Position

This position is for a Store Driver responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to professional customers, as well as picking up returns and cores. The role involves promoting sales, loyalty programs, and collecting credit accounts. A key aspect is building and maintaining relationships with customers and providing insights to the company. Drivers are also expected to assist in upselling and cross-selling products, maintain store cleanliness, manage inventory (stocking, back stock, cycle counts), stay knowledgeable about products, and engage with walk-in customers to recommend parts or services. The role requires safe driving, communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Automotive parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
