Store Driver
About The Position
The Store Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of parts to pro customers, including picking up returns and cores. This role involves distributing sales flyers, promoting current sales and loyalty programs, and collecting credit accounts. A key aspect is building and maintaining relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights to the company. The driver will also assist in upselling and cross-selling products, maintain store cleanliness, perform general stocking duties, and engage with walk-in customers to recommend parts or services. Success factors include safe driving, communication skills, inventory management, sales aptitude, and customer service orientation. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, and involves physical demands such as lifting and moving heavy objects, and working in diverse indoor and occasional outdoor conditions.
Requirements

- Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
- Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
- Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

- Automotive parts experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
