About The Position

The Store Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of parts to professional customers, including picking up returns and cores. This role involves distributing sales flyers, promoting current sales and loyalty programs, and collecting credit accounts. The driver will build and maintain relationships with customers, providing insights to the company, and assisting in upselling and cross-selling products. Additional duties include maintaining store cleanliness, stocking inventory (truck stocking, back stock, cycle counts), staying informed about product inventory and new arrivals, and engaging with walk-in customers to recommend appropriate parts or services. Success in this role requires safe driving, effective communication, the ability to manage inventory, and strong customer service skills.

  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
  • Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
  • Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • Automotive parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
  • General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
  • Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
  • Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
  • Other duties as assigned
