Store Driver
About The Position
The Store Driver position at Advance Auto Parts involves safely delivering parts to professional customers, managing returns and cores, and distributing sales flyers to promote current sales and loyalty programs. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining customer relationships, assisting in upselling and cross-selling products, and contributing to store cleanliness and stocking. The role requires safe driving skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to handle physical demands such as lifting. Advance Auto Parts is a major automotive aftermarket parts provider operating thousands of stores across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and also serves independently owned Carquest branded stores.
Requirements

- Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
- Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
- Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- For applicants in the state of Tennessee, you are required to have a valid F - endorsement on your drivers license to be eligible for this position

Responsibilities
- Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
- Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
- Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
- Other duties as assigned
