About The Position

This Store Driver position is responsible for the efficient and safe delivery of automotive parts to professional customers, including picking, staging, and managing returns and cores. The role involves distributing sales flyers, promoting current sales and loyalty programs, and collecting credit accounts. A key aspect is building and maintaining strong relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights, and actively assisting in upselling and cross-selling products to enhance transaction value. Additionally, the driver contributes to maintaining store cleanliness, managing inventory through stocking and cycle counts, and staying informed about product knowledge to effectively assist walk-in customers with their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

• Spanish a plus
• Automotive parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
