About The Position

The Store Driver position at Advance Auto Parts involves safely delivering parts to professional customers, managing returns and cores, and distributing sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs. Key responsibilities include daily collection of credit accounts, building and maintaining relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, and providing insights to the CPP. Drivers are also expected to assist in upselling and cross-selling products, maintain store cleanliness, perform general stocking duties (including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts), and stay knowledgeable about product inventory to assist walk-in customers. The role requires safe driving, effective communication, customer service skills, and the ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license are essential, with automotive parts experience being preferred.

  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
  • Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
  • Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • Automotive parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
  • General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
  • Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
  • Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
  • Other duties as assigned
