About The Position

America’s Thrift Stores is hiring Store Donation Attendants! We’re looking for reliable, hardworking team members with open availability, especially those who can work weekends. This is a hands-on, active role where you’ll be the first point of contact for our donors—helping create a positive, welcoming experience while keeping our donation center running smoothly. Job Description Greet and thank donors while accepting their donations Assist with unloading items from vehicles (up to 50 lbs) Keep the donation area clean, organized, and safe Sort and handle donated goods appropriately Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Support team members to keep operations running efficiently

Requirements

Reliable and dependable with strong attendance
Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills
Comfortable with physical work (lifting, standing, moving throughout shift)
Ability to work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain)
Team player with a strong work ethic
Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check
You provide outstanding service to all donors
You aren't afraid of working in the ever-changing weather
You are committed to working safely and efficiently
You are a team player and ready to work with a diverse group of co-workers
You are organized and can keep the work area neat and presentable
You are at least 18years old and ready to join or Shipping and Receiving team!

Responsibilities

Greet and thank donors while accepting their donations
Assist with unloading items from vehicles (up to 50 lbs)
Keep the donation area clean, organized, and safe
Sort and handle donated goods appropriately
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Support team members to keep operations running efficiently
Interact with donors to accept and process donations at trailer sites in an outdoor setting; provide outstanding service to all donors
Receive newly donated items from our Donations team
Help us be green and sustainable, sort and ship recyclable items
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions
Unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner
