About The Position

The Store Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating and scheduling the timely delivery of auto parts to customers, ensuring efficient routing, and maintaining effective communication between drivers, store staff, and customers. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple deliveries and resolve logistical challenges in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain training is a plus.
Previous experience in dispatching or logistics, preferably in the automotive or retail sector.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of the local geographic area and route planning.
Familiar with store operating procedures

Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups of auto parts to customers and vendors.
Monitor and update delivery status using dispatching software or manual logs.
Communicate effectively with drivers, store personnel, and customers to provide updates or resolve issues.
Optimize delivery routes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure proper documentation is completed for all deliveries, including invoices and delivery confirmations.
Track vehicle maintenance schedules and report any issues or delays.
Maintain accurate records of dispatched calls, driver logs, and inventory movements.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving delivery-related concerns.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely preparation of parts for dispatch.
