About The Position

Vince is seeking a dynamic, customer service driven Store Director for our Madison Avenue Flagship Location. As the Store Director, you will be a brand ambassador, who is responsible for driving business through daily operations, leading the team to maximize sales and profits, and delivering exceptional customer service experiences. You will train and develop a team to achieve goals while ensuring the store upholds the highest standards of visual presentation and operational excellence.  This role ensures the store operates in accordance with the company’s guidelines.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail management
  • Deep knowledge of specialty retail, including business development, visual merchandising and store operations

  • Strong leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to delegate responsibility and empower team members
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills allowing for communication of the company’s goals and objectives
  • Ability to create high energy and positive environment, as a mentor and leader to staff and peers.
  • Computer skills to include operation of retail point of sale system, Word, Excel and email
  • Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 30 pounds when merchandising the sales floor and use ladders or stairs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the achievement of store’s sales plan expectations across categories
  • Oversee store operations, ensuring strong business performance, exceptional customer service, and brand environment within the store
  • Recruit, develop, train and mentor team members to achieve and exceed sales objectives while applying retail excellence
  • Lead by example through active presence on the sales floor and commitment to exceptional customer service experience
  • Set, track and evaluate store KPI’s. Identify business opportunities and implement strategic elevated service model to build client loyalty to drive positive results
  • Serve as a brand ambassador in the market, expanding the client base through creative events and strategic partnerships that cultivate strong relationships and drive business growth
  • Enhance client loyalty through proactive initiatives, effectively utilizing clienteling resources to reflect the brand’s strategy and elevate the customer experience
  • Maintain high standards of the store presentation and visual merchandising standards aligned with brand guidelines
  • Perform daily reporting, analysis, reconciliation and other operational tasks
  • Improve profitability by managing controllable expenses such as payroll, supplies and shrinkage
  • Protect store assets and inventory.  Reconcile inventory and monitor stock optimization within the store
  • Implement and comply with company policies and procedures
