Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in retail or grocery management.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Champion: Lead our customer service initiatives to meet and exceed goals. Handle customer relations positively, resolving complaints effectively and promoting our philosophy of personalized service.
  • Operational Leadership: Manage overall store operations, implementing merchandising and sales initiatives. Communicate company goals and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Safety Coordinator: Oversee safety committee activities, ensuring health and safety initiatives are communicated and adhered to by all associates.
  • Store Standards: Maintain high store conditions, product quality, and compliance with labeling and code date standards through daily inspections and coaching.
  • Team Development: Direct the hiring and training of store personnel, providing clear guidance and monitoring performance. Conduct evaluations and identify training needs for future development.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee cash handling procedures, inventory control, and budget management to safeguard company assets and minimize shrink.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive community relations and maintain communication with manufacturers, corporate personnel, and local stakeholders.
  • Scheduling and Compliance: Review and approve department schedules to ensure adequate staffing and compliance with labor laws.
